Anne Phung Nguyen
Anne Phung Nguyen is my name. I'm Vietnamese American Entrepreneur living in Orange County California. My wonderful partner JP and my wonderful Dad Henry are also part of our extended family. The majority of people have come across me through my Instagram account @annephung, where I write about my experiences- the highs the lows and all between. When I was 1 and a half years old, my family and I immigrated from the United States to America. If it wasn't because of the sacrifices made by my parents, I may not even be here today sharing the journey with the world. As I knew I could have a brighter future and I wanted to achieve my goals and make my parents happy. My plan of life was for me to study at university, land work in a corporate then marry, and purchase a home. The lifestyle I had imagined for myself was not what it turned out to be. The year was 2013, and I discovered that I didn't like working in my job as a corporate employee. The status and the money didn't not excite me. I felt like I was just wasting my time in exchange for a paycheck. I possessed a love of working out and I enjoyed having fun and helping people as I navigated towards this new path in life I discovered my passion for personal training. This year I will celebrate the 7th year anniversary of my business. In 2014, I launched my own small business. It is rare to find Asian women in the industry. I strive to be a change maker in the industry to provide the best coaching and guidance to help individuals to be healthier and happier person by establishing an environment that is sustainable and meets their individual goals and needs. Additionally, I aim to motivate others to follow the goals they have set for themselves in order to achieve whatever they would like to accomplish. While my professional life began to take off, I was struck by one of the biggest losses in my life to date- the passing of my mom. In Heaven she rests now following an eight-year fight against Scleroderma. Yet, I keep my Mom with me and dream of her every day. Although you may not be able to see it initially, the universe has a funny way of giving us what we really need. My Mom's passing changed me in many ways, and I believe my Mom gave me another opportunity to live my life after her death. On Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she died. The time was right to go on to her next chapter and my chance to live an authentic and satisfying life. When I reach the 30's I am more vibrant than I have ever. It is true that I live my life today instead of merely living just like I did previously. My intention in the story I am sharing is to inform you that you're not alone. I hope that you be aware that love exists and that therapy can be regular. Your health is the most important asset you have. My hope is that you experience life at its best and have no regrets about the end of your life. The death of a person is the only certainty in life.
